Life is Like a Wave.

Life is like a wave.

Slow and steady,

Fast and intense,

Or crashing as your life changes

We all travel in different paths and sometimes our path changes.

Our path now is to travel around Australia, for our love of fishing, camping and travelling we have now decided the time is right.

Our boys both growing up quick, and independent. Jake is now doing FIFO as a Boilermaker Welder and Judd is doing his apprenticeship as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic.

In our younger years it was a decision to either sell up and travel or as we both had businesses, work, have children and travel in our later years.

We have always wanted to travel around Australia as we love our pristine coastline, outback country life, meeting new and interesting people and learning about the country we live in.

Time has come for our new adventure.

Our decision to travel was made quickly, due to unfortunately myself being diagnosed with Amyloidosis AL a rare incurable disease. Not knowing what lies ahead, my husband Craig closed up our business of 30 years Gas-It Pipe Contracting to travel around Australia, and spend some quality and fun times together.

With many tests, 8 months of Chemo and medication each day, I’m feeling great and ready to explore Australia. We have decided to head off late January 2023 heading Esperance way.

Whilst been unwell I started designing jewellery pieces, at first it was to keep my mind busy and then I fell in love with every piece I made. This has inspired me to create jewellery pieces as we go around Australia, getting ideas from the different places, beaches, towns, people and my own fun experiences.

We have been travelling up the Northwest of WA for a month as a trial to see how we go and if we need to adjust anything. We’ve seen some amazing coastline, caught some beautiful big mud crabs thanks to our mate Bob, a Broome local with which he cooked us up some delicious chilly crab. We also enjoyed a day trip up to Deep Water Point, swam and had some beautiful fish and prawns, had fun at the Broome Ladies Race Day and just swam, relaxed and enjoyed the fantastic weather.

Time to head home and get ready for the big journey, with many things to organise before we head off once again.

So follow my journey whilst travelling around Australia, I hope I inspire you all to enjoy everyday, be positive, have fun and follow your dreams.
